Savage takes its name from Marion Savage, owner of Dan Patch, the record-setting harness racer of the early 1900s. The town took the Savage name in 1904, Dan Patch was stabled and trained here, and the city still celebrates him today.
Savage sits on the Minnesota River where Highway 13 and Highway 169 meet, with County Road 42 crossing the south side. That makes it an easy place to commute from, and a place where a truck can get stuck if a move isn't timed right. We plan routes and start times around rush hour so your hourly clock isn't spent in traffic.
Collegiate Power Movers is a licensed, insured Minnesota mover (MN DOT #385610). We were founded in Farmington in 2022 and are now based in Woodbury, so the south metro has been part of our coverage from the start.
