Edina Neighborhoods We've Moved
Older Homes Take
a Careful Crew.
Northeast Edina
Morningside
One of Edina's older neighborhoods, with homes that often mean narrower staircases, tight doorways, and basement stairs that turn. We plan the carry path and disassemble furniture as needed.
Central Edina
Grandview
A mix of established homes and newer housing near the Grandview district. Every move gets floor runners, padded door frames, and wrapped furniture.
Downsizing in Edina
From the Family Home
to Something Smaller.
A lot of Edina moves go one direction: from a house you've lived in for years into a condo or apartment. It's a different kind of move. Less space on the other end means planning what goes where before the truck is loaded.
Our White Glove service handles the packing, and our crew places furniture in the new space so it works on day one.
See Packing ServicesDecide what's moving
Mark which pieces go to the new place, which go to family, and which stay. That sizes the crew and truck correctly.
Measure the new space
Get room dimensions for the condo so big pieces have a plan before they leave the house.
Book the building
Reserve the elevator and loading dock at the new building and send us the window.
Let us pack and place
We pack, wrap, move, and set furniture where it belongs, then walk through with you before we leave.

Edina Moving FAQ
What Edina Residents
Ask Before Booking.
How much do movers cost in Edina, MN?
White Glove and Red Glove moves are flat-quoted before move day. Basic Hourly is $75 per hour per mover (2 movers $150/hr, 3 movers $225/hr, 4 movers $300/hr), plus a $175 flat truck fee, a $35 materials fee, and $1.29 per mile, with a 3-hour minimum. No stair, elevator, or fuel surcharges.
Do you move 71 France and The Edina Towers?
Yes. Reserve your move time and freight elevator with management and send it to us. We pad the elevator, protect hallways, and send a certificate of insurance if the building requires one.
Can you help me downsize into a condo?
Yes. White Glove handles the packing, and we place furniture in the new condo so it fits and works on day one. Tell us what's going and what's staying so the crew and truck are sized right.
Are older Morningside homes harder to move?
They take more planning. Many have narrower staircases, tighter doorways, and turning basement stairs. We disassemble furniture as needed, pad railings and frames, and plan the carry path first. No stair fees.
How far ahead should I book?
Book 2–3 weeks ahead from May through September, and earlier if your building limits move days or elevator time. October through April, a week of notice is usually enough.
